It is now a tradition in the our household to have a Christmas fun weekend where we do nothing but Chrsitmasy things like wrapping gifts, baking cookies, and watching our favorite Christmas movies! I decided to share one of the fun traditions with you all, wrapping! Robert and I love choosing a different fun & festive wrapping paper each year, and this year we decided it was the year for gold!
We have been collecting different paper each year, from whimsical Christmas trees or deer patterns to brown paper packaging ( just like the song says!) and realized that since we love changing it up each year, we should probably get a little more standard with the paper so we could use it again for another special occasion. This year we went to Target and grabbed these amazing gold and white patterned wrapping paper and I love how shiny and fun they look, but I also know that a birthday, wedding or even a ‘just because’ surprise gift would look just as great wrapped in this fancy paper!
I am currently obsessed with everything gold, so these patterns caught my eye right away! I love mixing and matching when putting together a style for our Christmas gifts. I love how you can blend this scattered dot pattern with this gold grid paper and know that they will still work together sitting under the tree! I also love how individually these patterns, like the gold striped pattern could look amazing as well. I think it is so fun to have a standout gift wrapping each year, it makes the chore of wrapping much more exciting!
Only one more week until Christmas, I am so excited! I’m looking forward to visiting my in-laws this year in Southampton to celebrate together. I love catching up over wine with my beautiful mother in-law, sharing our favorite chocolate with my sweet father in-law and watching Robert talk about old Christmas memories with his brother. It’s always so nice to be together and walk around the Southampton Village to see the decorations or walk by the water with all the snow, this year we actually have some too! This truly is the best time of the year!
