Fingers crossed for a beautiful, sunny weekend as John and I arrived in Saratoga Springs New York late last night. We are here for a long weekend with John’s family and as much as I should be home packing for our move, I’m happy to have this downtime after the work week I just had. Today we will be attending the Horse Race at the track and I am SO excited! I love any excuse to play dress up, wear a big hat, while gambling my last few dollars away 🙂 I have always loved animals, especially horses, and I’ve always found horse racing to be so entertaining. There is something about horse races that takes you back in time and makes you feel like your in a different error, I have always said I was born in the wrong time – so this is just another reason I can’t wait to get to the track today. I am also excited to see what this is all about and how this race differs from others I’ve attended in the past. John took me to Saratoga a few months ago for the first time and I’m so happy to be back and this time along side some of his family. I will be sure to insta-story the trip so you can all follow along if you want to check out more on what Saratoga is all about. If I am able to get enough photos at the race I will be sure to do a recap post with outfit info, how it was and include some links so if you all visit Saratoga in racing season you can check it out! Have a great weekend everyone! XO, ats
Photo Taken at my friend Ashley’s Wedding a few weekends ago, how cute are these coasters!
It was a short week for me, taking today off to prepare for our family to come visit us here in Noho! As a Christmas gift this year, Robert and I gave tickets to the John William’s film night at Tanglewood to his parents and brother. We have a whole weekend planned around exploring Lenox & picnicking at Tanglewood before the show, where we will get to watch some of John Williams classic scores to pieces from Harry Potter, E.T. and even Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, while the Boston Pops Orchestra plays along with it. It’s our favorite night at Tanglewood and we are so excited to share it with Roberts family, as well as finally show them what the whole picnicking at Tanglewood things is all about!
I am looking forward to seeing the family and having a weekend together. We usually grab dinner and breakfast at some of our favorite restaurants in Northampton and explore the town a bit. Then having Saturday to explore Lenox will be so much fun! I know they’ve been looking forward to this visit, since Robert and I talk about our love for picnicking at Tanglewood so much, they are excited to finally get the chance to experience it themselves. Robert and I also went out to Rhode Island last Friday to visit with some of my family whom I haven’t seen in years, and it turns our that they will all be at Tanglewood on Saturday for the very same show, what a coincidence! Hope you all have a great weekend ahead!
Cheers to another good week!
