I have a busy weekend ahead, but it is all fun and exciting! Today Robert and I are heading to Rhode Island to meet up with some of my family that I have not seen in a long while, and while visiting I also get the chance to see some of my Godmothers old cameras that were saved since she passed. My godmother, Mary Ellen was my Grandmothers older sister, and was an amazing photographer, I guess that’s where I get my interest in taking (and being in!) photos! She would take photos of animals in Africa and around the world, the beautiful colors & patterns of Hot air balloons, and flowers. She even took pictures of me when I was younger in pretty outfits that my family could save for always. I have one of her most prized photos hanging in my living room. It is a beautiful photos of a pink rose and whenever I see it, it reminds me of her. I am so looking forward to visiting with family and to see these amazing cameras!
On Saturday we are traveling again, this time to Killington, VT for a summer concert with Donovan Frankenreiter. We had gone to this concert two years ago, and it is so much fun! Killington, VT is a beautiful place and the drive up is absolutely stunning! I am looking forward to the concert and the mini road-trip with Robert. Last time we had the chance to ride on the gondala to the top of the mountain where they have a restaurant that views the whole area, honestly you can see for days it’s incredible. I hope we can get there again this time around and view the scenery, maybe even grab some lunch! I am a huge fan of outdoor concerts, this one is played on the side of a ski hill, so everyone lays out picnic blankets and chairs and bring food and drinks and just enjoys the sun and music while making friends with those close to you. Things don’t get much better than that!

Friday. YES. With each week that passes, the more ready and excited I get to start my new adventure in Toms River with John. In less than three weeks we will own our first home, I don’t think I’ve ever been so ready for anything in my life. Not only will this be such an exciting time but I get to share it with someone who means the world to me, makes me feel really lucky! I do a lot of complaining during the week that stems from my stress at work and just about life’s typically challenges – not having enough money, wanting things to always flow the way they’re supposed to, you know – things everyone complains about…but I truly believe I have been blessed to have such an amazing family and support system & now I get to share this next chapter of my life with John & his family. This weekend is the last weekend John or I are around in Hoboken until we move. We have had such a crazy summer with weddings, traveling for work & pleasure and just being busy, we finally have a weekend to ourselves. However, that will be spend packing both our apartments up…in a matter of 24 hours, ha – wish us luck 🙂 It will be fine because we always have such a great time together, no matter what we do! Im actually just excited to be in my own apartment for once and not on the road, so that should be nice! Wishing everyone a beautiful weekend & if you have any suggestions or tips & tricks to make packing easier – please leave a comment and let me know!
Happy Friday! XO, ats.
