CATS is a seven Tony Award-winning musical that ran it’s first performance in 1980. It originally had a straight 18 year run on Broadway in NYC, and as of November 2016 has resurfaced again. CATS is best known for its toe tapping composed music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and amazing choreography. The overall concept for the show is based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. CATS was one of the first musicals I ever saw on Broadway, 19 years ago with my elementary school class (I tried to find a photo but its buried somewhere..its a classic though)…so when KPR asked if I wanted to make an early 30th birthday celebration/ girls day in NYC out of it with her, her mother-in-law & our friend Meg I was all for it!!The Neil Simon Theate, NYC
Started the girls day off with a Champagne Toast! Can we also talk about how cute this gold bottle is?!
(A new cross body bag by Rebecca Minkoff that has the most amazing compartments inside!! Similar Bag for Purchase // Exact Bag for Rent)
Cheers to ATS 30th Birthday #Soho2Noho style with our favs..Cosmos!

New York City weekends are always a fun time when the S2N girls get together!!!
While sitting by the pool with my Mother-in-law Bettyann over Labor Day weekend, we chatted about needing some girl time together, without our husbands. We decided a New York City weekend away was just what we needed and instantly decided on a show, then called ATS to make sure she was available to celebrate girl time with us too! Finally our weekend arrived, we had already spent weeks planning where to grab dinner where we would be close to the theater and could celebrate our girl ATS upcoming birthday in style, all the while making sure our outfits were on point!
Girls time is such an important and healthy break to make sure is often scheduled into any girls busy life. Every girl needs a few special weekends away with her closest gal pals where she can dress up, gossip, drink champagne, or in our case Cosmo’s, and have that special time with the girls to be … well girly! We had so much fun drinking martini’s, dancing to party music in the hotel, sitting front and center for the CATS performance, and enjoying a delicious dinner with an ending of amazing desserts. We are so looking forward to many more girl weekends together in the near future! Do you have any NYC show recommendations or girls weekend traditions? Leave a comment below, we’d love to hear!
