LIFE IS ALWAYS BETTER AT THE BEACH
Hi Friends! I’ve missed you! Sorry for being so MIA but I had to unplug and take a much needed vacation from ” Real Life”. Happy to be back today on S2N and talking all about my vacation in Cape May! For those of you who don’t follow along on Instagram or missed our Weekly-Wine Down last week, I took my first full week off in 4 years to escape to the beach with John & his family. For several years now John’s family has rented a beautiful home one street from the beach in Cape May, NJ. For those of you not familiar with NJ & its beaches – Cape May is a city and seaside resort area at the southern most tip of NJ. It is known for its amazing Victorian houses & estates that have been kept preserved from the old time period. There are so many fun and amazing things to do while you’re there but my favorite was just to be with family & take in all the beautiful surroundings. My favorite place on the “island” is Congress Hall. In 2016 it celebrate its 200 years as America’s First Seaside Resort! John & I along side his family rang in the 2017 New Year at the Congress Hall Bicentennial Celebration, so I just loved going back again in the summer. The hotel has a special place in John’s family as his sister Lauren & brother in-law Colby got married there. If you have never visited this part of the Jersey Shore I would highly recommend it! There is nothing like unplugging in a place where everyone is all smiles, biking around day drinking. I am sharing some special moments with you all below in these images, I decided not to bring my big expensive camera out on this trip as I wanted to fully take everything in – so here are just a few snapshots we collected throughout the trip!

John & I spent the trip biking around Cape May. We can’t wait to move to our new home in a few weeks so we can do the same there!

John was right when he said It would be “The Best Week Ever”. I am so looking forward to continuing this tradition with the Lillis+ Family in the years to come! If you happen to get a chance to visit Cape May please let me know, I would love to make some suggestions of what to do, where to eat and must-sees! Do you have a favorite vacation spot, leave a comment below and tell me about it – we are always looking for fun new places to adventure.
