Don’t you agree with me, that sometimes life and our time here feels like its just slipping by? Nope, it’s not Thanksgiving yet – but I’ve decided I wanted to write down and share with you the five things I’m thankful for this week, just for the sake of reminiscing and reminding myself how beautiful life really is.
This week … I am thankful for: (In no particular order)
1.) My Family & My Close Friends: This will always be my #1, doesn’t matter what week, this is my constant that I will forever be thankful for. What I have realized in my “old” age is that you will go through life phases and a lot of people aren’t meant to be in our life forever. People come in and out to teach you lessons, open up your eyes to certain things, be there for you during different times – but not everyone will be around and in your life forever. I have come to terms with this over the last several years after experiencing some things in my life that I had a difficult time understanding at first. I have always been the one to hold everything in my life together – keep family close and always trying to please every friend I have. But there are some people you wont always please, so you have to live each day for those close to you that are worth your time and love.. for those of you, you know who you are and thank you.
2.) John: There is nothing quite like having someone love you back. I will never be able to put it into words correctly or express the outrageous love I have for him, but he is my rock & my everything. Weather I am having the worst day, or just need someone to laugh with and make me smile – he is always, always there. Love you, Johnny.
3.) My Work Buddies: Lets be honest, I would never have stayed at RTR going on my 4th year if it wasn’t for some special people. Having work/life balance has never been something I have been good at, so what I’ve found is that you have to work somewhere that you love the people. I have about 5 amazing friends here who I not only hang with during the work day, but after work. These are my people. We workout together, drink together, complain together, get through work together. I am so thankful for them on a daily, as I wouldn’t get sh*t done without their work love & support! Love you peeps!
4.) My Tucker: Its so crazy to me that I was ever capable of loving a furry creature so much! I mean, don’t get me wrong – I’ve always loved animals, but Tucker is the man. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting my dog, he is literally the best. Yes, I know what you’re saying – everyone says that about their pets..but seriously, Tuck really is the best. Dogs in general are so special, you will never find unconditional love like you will from a dog and Tucker has always been there for me. Furry pal, I love ya!
5.) Life: Lastly, I am thankful to be alive. Life is so nuts and with what is going on in our country & world these last weeks, I have to be thankful that these events don’t effect me on a daily and that I currently am safe, healthy and have people who love me. Life can change at the drop of a hat and I am just thankful to be alive.
What are you thankful for this week? If its a person, don’t wait until tomorrow to tell them – live in the now 🙂
Have a great week everyone! XO, ats
